About Lary Crews

Lary’s been writing for money since 1969 when the US Navy trained him as a journalist.

As a full-time freelance writer Crews sold and wrote 780 nonfiction articles for business magazines, like Tampa Bay Business, Florida Trend, and South Florida Business Journal.

In the Eighties, he wrote three published mystery novels starring radio talk show host Veronica Slate. Kill Cue, Extreme Close-Up, and Option to Die sold a combined 565,000 copies and are still for sale in the used book market.

Starting in 1993, Crews was America's first online fiction instructor, working for America Online for seven years. 
He taught 4,125 students in 26 states how to write their first novels.
He taught them through private chat rooms, email, and an extensive Writing the Novel textbook, which he wrote.
 
He also married one of his students, Lori, in December 1998
They are still happily married and live in the Neon Line District of Reno NV.
