My 2023 writer's office

One cool thing when one is a writer for a living is creating a writers office in your home. From 1983 to now I have had many different offices some with desktop computers and more with laptop computers. My favorite places to write.

Here's my 2023 office.

1983 office

I got out of the hospital on July 4th, 1983, my cancer cured, so I began to create a writer's office with a Kaypro computer. (It was new but seemed the direction a writer should go.) I started querying magazines and found almost immediate success.

Career change to writing

While in the hospital awaiting my cancer surgery in 1983, I read a copy of Writer's Digest and decided, if I lived, to pursue a new career as a freelance writer. From 1969-1983 I wrote disposable nonfiction (you write it, read it, throw it away.) Now I'd be writing for magazines.

Never too late to write.

I was 42 when my three mystery novels were published.

For the next 25 years, as a journalist, I wrote articles, content, and five novels, unpublished.

I was 69 when my 4th and 5th books were published.

I am 77 now, writing my blog. Never to late to write.
