The Reno Buddhist Center has standard services on alternating Sunday mornings conducted by Staff Priests and assistants.
One thing we love is that Buddhists believe that both husband and wife are expected to share equal responsibility and discharge their duties with equal dedication. We agree that a husband should consider his wife to be a friend, a companion, a partner.
Buddhists believe that love nourishes spiritual freedom. The connection is so strong that Buddhism, often known as a Path of Freedom, could equally be called a religion of love.
How do you attract good karma?
- Step 1: Love and forgive yourself. Many people find themselves battling with low self-esteem, self-blame, and self-doubt.
- Step 2: Love and forgive others. Holding grudges holds you back.
- Step 3: Practice kindness and compassion.
- Step 4: Reflect.
- Step 5: Practice.
Good karma is when you make a positive contribution to the world such as helping someone in need, paying someone a genuine compliment, or even smiling at a stranger.
"Vesak", the Day of the Full Moon in the month of May, is the most sacred day to millions of Buddhists around the world. It was on the Day of Vesak in the year 623 B.C., that the Buddha was born.
