Got marriage right in 1998

My grandmother sat at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, but we did not belong to any church in the 20 years that she raised me. Nonnie did take me to a few meetings of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. All I remember was sitting in metal folding chairs in a basement.

I dated a Mormon girl once and read some of the Book of Mormon. I dated a Catholic girl, a Methodist girl, and checked out each church. But by the time I reached thirty, I decided I was a non-theist who believes in spirituality and treating others the way I’d like to be treated.

Across the street from our apartment in Burbank in 1998 was a nice non-theist denomination called Spiritworks Center for Spiritual LivingWe married at Spiritworks on December 13, 1998.

My mother flew to California to attend our wedding. Lori’s cousin, Chrissie, was her bridesmaid

A beautiful song by Shania Twain, From This Moment On, came on the radio back in February 1998 after Lori told me she loved me. It became our songNaturally, I can’t afford the right to print the lyrics on my blog, but I’m you can find the song sung by Shania on YouTube

Our recessional was the main theme from I Love Lucyrewritten to be "I Love Lori."

We are a few months away from our 25th Anniversary and I love her more than life itself.
