In 2007, I bought and learned to play
two conga drums (a tall, narrow, single-headed drum from Cuba.),
a djembe (a rope-tuned skin-covered drum, from West Africa.),
and my bongo drums (an Afro-Cuban instrument of two small open bottomed drums.)
I played drum circles in the Tampa Bay area.
I still play bongo drums in 2024.
