Lori Crews wrote a letter to her dad who died at 45.
She wrote,
"I miss watching Stanford football with you, daddy. (Her father was a Stanford graduate.) If you could contact me somehow, it would give me hope."
The next day, browsing the local Humane Society on her phone, Lori saw a tuxedo cat up for adoption.
His name was Stanford. So naturally, we adopted him.
(She thinks her dad may have been reincarnated as a cat.)
